
Charise Hoge has worked in the field of health and healing for over twenty-five years in the disciplines of social work, dance therapy, and yoga. Charise currently coaches on creativity as well as international relocation from the perspective that creativity is fundamental to the ability to thrive in the mobile lifestyle. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia, and a Master of Arts Degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from New York University. She is a board certified dance/movement therapist, certified professional coach, and writer.
Charise has lived in Central America, Europe and Asia, and has been a military spouse for twenty years. In addition to coaching, Charise has been a consultant with the Foreign Service at the Overseas Briefing Center in Virginia where she provided pre-departure training on “Identity and the Mobile Lifestyle” for new Foreign Service officers and spouses. Her experience also includes counseling expatriates living in Thailand, where she developed an expertise in cross-cultural issues.
Her writing is featured in various journals, the books Striking Light from Ashes and Next Line, Please: Prompts to Inspire Poets and Writers, as well as her blog mixandmosspoetry.com. Charise continues her work as a movement therapist and performing artist in the Washington, D.C. area, where she resides with her husband.
